Seasons
Spring on the Burren arrives quietly — gentians in the grikes, light loosening over the limestone. These are the weeks I paint fastest, before the colour settles into memory.
A crow studying himself in a puddle of wet sand — caught between the tide coming in and getting on with his business. I don't paint wildlife often, but this fellow demanded it: something about the way he was looking at his own reflection felt almost human.
Oil on canvas. Framed size 47.8 × 37.8cm.
This original painting has been sold. If he's caught your eye too, I'm happy to talk about a commission — do get in touch.
