About Me

I'm an artist working in oils and cold wax medium, creating richly textured works inspired by Ireland's west coast. Based on the border of south Galway and east Clare, I draw particular inspiration from the ancient limestone karst of the Burren and the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way. Working within abstract impressionism, I explore the essence and emotion of these landscapes rather than their literal representation.

Born in Ireland and raised in Durban, South Africa, my artistic vision bridges two landscapes and cultures. Those South African years, immersed in the vibrant diversity of cultures and light, fundamentally shaped my approach to color and composition. This influence continues to energize my work today, bringing an unexpected vibrancy to Ireland's often muted palette.

A lifelong painter with a deep passion for the arts, I have exhibited in both Durban and Galway. My work now features in private collections across four continents—a testament to how the warmth and color of my African experience resonates when brought to the wild, elemental beauty of the Irish coast.
