Seasons
Spring on the Burren arrives quietly — gentians in the grikes, light loosening over the limestone. These are the weeks I paint fastest, before the colour settles into memory.
That first stretch after winter when the Burren starts to soften — the walls still grey, but the grass underfoot going green again and the water sitting high after the thaw. I wanted to catch that in-between light, before summer takes over.
Cold wax and oil on canvas board. Framed size 67.6 × 47.8cm. Part of my Rockscapes series.
Mounted prints are available, ranging in price from €60 to €170 depending on size — see the Prints collection or get in touch.
