Diamond Hill

Diamond Hill rises from the Connemara bogland in a sweep of warm ochre, burnt sienna, and heather-purple, colours that seem almost impossible until you've stood there and seen them for yourself. This large original work is built up in cold wax and oil, with palette knife impasto that gives the landscape its texture and weight: you can feel the wind in the bog grasses, the solidity of the mountain, the restless Connemara sky.
