Seasons
Spring on the Burren arrives quietly — gentians in the grikes, light loosening over the limestone. These are the weeks I paint fastest, before the colour settles into memory.
Painted after a summer walk in the Burren, when the wildflowers push up pink between the limestone and the whole hillside seems to hum. Part of my Rockscapes series.
Oil and cold wax on canvas, 40 × 40 cm, framed in white wood and ready to hang. Original, one of a kind.
